Accounting Applications

Today, business is hot. The world is in fast-forward. Accountants make it happen, with the financial knowledge and analytical skills needed by every company and organization. The accounting field continues to grow. If you are planning to major in any area of business, in computer programming or plan to maintain financial records in your daily life, then consider “Accounting.” This course will provide a foundation for both personal and business record keeping methods. The student will explore the accounting cycle through recording business transactions, preparation and interpretation of financial statements, and various banking procedures.

Advanced Business Studies

Advanced Business builds on the concepts you learned in Intro to Business, giving you a deeper look at how businesses operate. Through deeper analysis, you’ll strengthen your ability to think critically about real business challenges.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is a project-based course that teaches you the essential skills needed to start and manage a small business. You’ll learn what it means to think like an entrepreneur and develop the mindset needed to identify opportunities and solve real-world problems. Throughout the course, you’ll research, plan, and pitch your own business idea while strengthening your presentation, design, data analysis, and market research skills.

Investments and Valuations

This course offers an in-depth exploration of finance and the stock market, focusing on key concepts such as financial ratios, company valuation, and cash flow analysis. The objective is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the stock market and the principles underlying company valuation. Through a stock market simulator, students will actively trade throughout the semester, observing and tracking the fluctuations in their investments. 

Digital Marketing

This class will focus on the foundations of marketing, and will accomplish this goal from a digital perspective. Students will journey through the realm of digital marketing, analyzing the manner in which companies advertise using technology, as well as how they themselves can become smarter consumers when it comes to this topic. Students will explore various, relevant and current social media platforms, and how marketing firms utilize them in order get their products in front of consumers. Finally, students will explore the world of digital marketing utilizing a dynamic simulation, where they will be able to make decisions, spend money, obtain likes on various sites, and market a product. Their goal in this exercise will be to advertise their product and place it in front of the largest amount of consumers possible. Students will leave this class with a thorough understanding and interest in the field of digital marketing.

CarDev 9 helps you discover how your interests, skills, values, goals, personality, and passions connect to possible future pathways. You’ll research a wide range of careers, explore industry trends and workforce demand, and learn about the real-life challenges being addressed within careers. You’ll also complete your first of three Field Focus experiences for the MASH Graduation Project. Throughout the course, you’ll build personal and professional skills that prepare you to navigate challenges with confidence.

Career Development 11

Career Development 11 guides you toward more intentional career preparation as you begin planning for life after high school. You’ll learn how to market yourself by creating a polished résumé and cover letter and by participating in a mock interview. You’ll also take a deeper look at the job market, workplace culture, and organizational structures to understand how you can meaningfully contribute within a professional environment.
